Dinner Party!

Last night I was invited to a wonderful dinner party at a dear friends who is leaving for two weeks (lame families that live far away jk) it was a lot of fun we did the good old potluck style dinner and it turned out fabulous (minus my salad that's a whole story by its self) we ate lots of delicious food and had wonderful conversation with lots of laughter involved...and of course graham cracker houses were involved;) I have the best friends I am so blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday i went with my mom, brother, crazy kiddos (nephew and niece) to the nativities around the world. we usually just walk around and look at them but this year we dressed up in the fun little costumes...i had no choice as to who i was going to be my mom voted for me be to Mary. Caiden and Bailey were unsure about all the business but they ended up loving it and not wanting to take off their costumes hahah. after we took our picture and made a small coloring project we headed home where i left right after to go back to meet some friends to take yet another picture and walk around it was a lot of fun we had a little to much fun with it and were laughing the whole time so the picture is slightly terrible but oooh well.

ugly sweaters

Saturday night i was invited to an ugly sweater party it was so much fun! I adore my friends they are so entertaining and make me laugh for hours and hours so of course throwing in ugly sweaters makes the times way better:) I wasn't able to find an ugly sweater anywhere so i had to resort to making one.....i found it to be hideous but my parents and Andrew disagreed hahah they said it wasn't terribly ugly....and Andrew was more emotional that i ruined an amazing sweater (no worries its all tacked on I plan on wearing it with out all the crap) everyone else however said it was pretty atrocious. At the party we made graham cracker house which are always my favorite then we did madlibs until ridiculous hours in the morning. It was definitely a wonderful saturday night:)

It is freezing today which means a blog post is in order because i refuse to leave my warm abode anymore...no really its freezing it so beautiful though i hurried outside when i got home to get pictures of the magicalness before i froze. i love frost but i hate it as well it looks so pretty but with frost comes bitter cold. we also have fog which means when you walk outside you feel like you are getting pelted with ice cubes talk about rude.

but it really is breath taking. It makes me feel like I really am walking in a winter wonderland:) 

10 things I will be doing instead of studying....

3. shop online for nothing really

4. look at ridiculous amounts of tumblr accounts

5. take pictures of our snow less areas 

6. christmas shop

FINALLY finished!!!!!!

Yes yes I finally FINALLY finished recovering the car seat! That things gave me a run for my sewing experiences I love how it turned out though...after resewing portions no joke 10 times, along with hand stitching the whole visor (that was a pain), and stabbing my fingers with needles and the seam ripper an unmentionable number of times I can finally give it to a very pregnant lady:) She is due the first week of January (we are hoping for the 7th because clearly that's the best day;)

I didn't take too many picture of the before i mainly have pictures of seams just so i knew how to put it back together and boy was i glad i did that it really helped me (even though I did sew things upside down 4 times)

the visor was the BIGGEST pain i ended up sewing the whole thing by hand just because it was impossible with the piping it was annoying!

a tour of the Lion house (they got rid of my lemon drops SAD DAY!)

Thanksgiving part I

my thanksgiving was WONDERFUL times 10! i love the holiday nothing better than spending time with family eating delicious food:) i took a lot of pictures so i will break it up into different posts so i don't overwhelm you.

Thanksgiving day consisted of 2 Thanksgiving dinners (I was filled to the BRIM) a documentary on super croc (Andrews extra credit assignment)  photo shoots, 3 games of Apples to Apples and LOTS of laughter!

I can't get him to ever take more than 2 serious pictures 

I did a simple project this rainy afternoon. I had grabbed this piece of drift wood while kayaking (ok Matthew did) and i grabbed a couple of books awhile ago at the recycling center. I love how it turned out and it was completely free:)

this morning i woke up to snow on the ground........yes my favorite thing in the world (*joking.) It was so beautiful though there was far more this morning at 6AM when i woke up to go work out but when i headed to class it was just in the trees which is perfect with me:) i'm not a fan of the wet shoes business. it's starting to feel like Christmas and soon we can whip out the music and movies that i love so:) 

My weekend was so much fun! my mom and i headed to walla walla on friday to spend time with my grandma and wake up and fix a thanksgiving dinner....yes we know its not thanksgiving but my mom wanted to have one with my grandma since we will be in Utah for thanksgiving. it was so much fun playing games and just enjoying everyone there. my brother and dad came saturday afternoon with the kiddos and got there just in time for the feast where i ate too much like every thanksgiving dinner maybe someday i will learn one can hope. it was a quick trip but so much fun i love my family no matter how crazy they really are. it would have been completely perfect if Garrett was there as well to share the moment but he was definitely in our hearts and thoughts.

it was raining...and they still made us take pictures outside...but that didn't work out so we headed inside

where we squeezed onto a couch in hopes that everyone would fit hahaha

we had so much fun with silly pictures definitely the best part!

miss bailey always has to see what face im doing..she usually changes hers to match mine she is too cute.

I have a boot addiction...no seriously i look at boots almost daily and dream of what they would look like on me....ahhh if only they were free or i wasn't paying for college either works really. speaking of college i am surrounded with heaps of application papers that make my head swirl and boy am i terrible at talking about myself found out im sadly not conceded dang it..no really bad when you have to write a two page paper on why i would be good for their program and what attributes would i bring.....anywho back to boots to reward myself for filling out one whole application minus one reference i bought me some boots ahhh and its love i have worn them almost everyday minus today...they wouldn't have gone with my dresss sad day i know BUT they are cute AND comfortable! im definitely in love...hopefully my future husband allows my boot swoonfest.

being an auntie is probably the best thing in the world..yes they drive me nuts some times like when i want to sew and they won't leave me a lone orrrr the fact that every time i am skyping with Andrew they want to as well. But for the most part they are hilarious and way entertaining...seriously some of the things they say crack me up! every thursday i watch them until my brother gets out of class its usually way fun since outside is involved and that is when we do cool things like pretend to be cowboys or princess' and go to balls and such...but yesterday was tony hawk day orrrrr ony awk day according to miss bailey;)

every day is act like a monster day....this look is a constant at this household

why is it that it takes a huge wake up call for me to realize all the blessings i truly have? this morning after my work out i looked at my phone to find a voicemail from someone i was sad i missed his call. i excitedly dialed my voicemail punching in my password as fast as i could to receive devastating news that two of his mission companions had been hit by a drunk driver and died. i was shocked i didn't know what i should do...im never good with terrible situations i dont even handle them good myself i shut down and block everyone out..so clearly im not the go to girl if you have a breakdown. i fought back and forth with the idea of calling back...or do i just text a sweet simple text...what would i want? while debating what to do i thought terrible thoughts..horrible ones and placed my brother in the shoes of his mission companions my heart shattered....I love my brother dearly he is a huge inspiration to me. He has the sweetest spirit and is the most giving person i know and i would be beyond devastated to lose him or any of my loved ones for that matter. My heart and prayers go out to the families that lost their loved one. you can never say i love you too much to those that are near and dear to your heart.

I have been listening to this song over and over every day! i seriously LOVE this song and her voice ahhh by far the best alto voice ever!

100 posts!

Yay for 100 lame/silly posts. I sure have been slacking on this blogging business I will try and be better! I'm embarrassed to admit i get on and check all my favorite blogs but just skip the blogging myself part...yikes rude i know! I have been up to lots of projects but mostly recovering a car seat I want to finish it before things get crazy with the holidays..I also taught myself how to knit i know another thing to distract me with..but i really wanted to make myself a scarf ahahahah.

yes most days i look this fabulous china bun and all! I hope the rest of your weekend is fabulous:)

a couple days ago i took little miss sassy pants on a little date to get pictures of her...wowwee little 2 year olds are hard to get to smile but she is funny and entertaining. i kept saying hey smile at me and her reply was b-ann i dont want to smile....for which i would ask why and she would say because i dont want too...gosh i love that little lady
